Alan Stein is a painter and printmaker based in Parry Sound. His work – from hand printed books, to striking charcoals, to colourful pastels – is instantly recognizable to many on Georgian Bay, and it’s clear that it captures a lifetime of love for the area.
“Treetops”, inspired by Alan’s walk on the future Treetops Community Forest Property, is a hand made wood engraving, image size 4×5”.
The edition size is limited to 100 copies. Each of the prints is hand printed directly from the wood block on a Vandercook #4 proof press on ‘Arches’ archival paper and will be signed and numbered, they are packaged in plastic sleeves, they were hand printed by Alan at the Church Street Press.
Prints are being sold at $125 at Parry Sound Public School, Collins Chiropractic and Health Sciences, Parry Sound Books, and 18 James Gallery.
